Standard Bb Clarinet YCL-255 Bb Clarinet. The Yamaha YCL-255 is a newly redesigned Bb clarinet with a matte ABS resin body, nickel-plated silver keys, 2559mm barrel, and an adjustable wrist rest with strap ring. Supplied with the CL-4C nozzle. The YCL-255 combines state-of-the-art production experience with high-end Yamaha clarinet features. The result is an excellent entry-level instrument that offers a warm, resonant tone that is remarkably similar to that of a wooden clarinet. It features an ABS resin body with a matte finish that mimics the look of a wooden clarinet and an adjustable wrist rest with a neck strap ring that allows even those with small hands to easily hold the instrument. The new adjustable wrist rest accommodates different sizes of hands, helping the player to develop proper playing technique. In addition, a strap ring allows you to maintain the instrument without additional effort. The firmer screws and silver welded ring give this new feature excellent durability. YCL-255’s new bell made of solid and durable ABS resin results in a lighter instrument with improved response. A resonance chamber in the bell aids in projection and improves intonation on lower notes. The 2559mm barrel is based on high-end Yamaha clarinet designs to help produce a focused tone. The attractive matte finish simulates real wood grain while providing the added durability of ABS resin.
