Description

The Behringer Ultrabass BVT5500H Bass Amplifier Head is a powerhouse bass head that’s built to take on gigs large and small. Its rich feature set includes 550 watts of stage-shaking power, a nine-band grahic EQ, built-in limiter and overdrive, Behringer’s exclusive Virtual Tube Circuitry, and the extensive connectivity pros demand. Additionally, the Voicing selector lets you quickly choose one of five frequency-biased settings that change the overall timbre of the amp from mid-scooped (for pop-n-slap definiton) to bass emphasis (for a warm and tubby tone).

Additional value-adding details include a ground lift switch, a dedicated tuner output, an effects loop (with front-panel mix knob), and dual inputs (one for full gain input, one for a -15dB padded input). The BVT5500H has the flexibility and power to take on your next performance, wherever it is.

550 Watts of Thunder

The BVT5500H’s 550 watts let you project as much as you want to, with headroom to spare so you can avoid the “straining” sound of a barely-making-it amplifier.

Virtual Tube Circuitry

Behringer’s Virtual Tube Circuitry modeling technology gives you the warmth and response of tube amps, without the heat, noise, and weight of the original.

Multiple Voicings

The Voicings control lets you choose one of five settings, each of which biases the amp toward certain frequencies. Choose a flat response curve, scoop the mids, or roll off the bottom end.

9-Band Graphic Equalizer

The nine-band EQ gives you pinpoint control over your final output. And the master level slider lets you compensate for overall level changes caused by your EQ curve. You don’t have to choose between power and control.

Extensive Connectivity

There are the parallel speaker outputs you expect. But there are also an XLR balanced output, a Neutrix Speakon output, a dedicated tuner ouput, a power amp input, and a preamp output.

Integrated Overdrive and Limiter

Today’s bass sounds use a good deal of overdrive, and a limiter is essential gear for high-volume play if you don’t want your peak levels sounding like bubbles in mud. Behringer has integrated both of these into the BVT5500H.
