The Roland Aerophone AE-20 Digital Wind Instrument delivers all the playability and expression of the flagship Aerophone Pro in a more compact and streamlined design. Using Roland’s SuperNATURAL technology and ZEN-Core Synthesis System, it allows any sax or clarinet player to perform nearly any synth or acoustic instrument imaginable with unparalleled sound quality and authentic articulations and response—or trigger external MIDI instruments in a manner more commensurate with their chosen instrument.
Simply put, the Aerophone AE-20 fuses a traditional saxophone fingering system with a familiar reed-style mouthpiece, quick response, natural pitch and vibrato control, a library of 260 onboard acoustic and synth sounds, and built-in speakers, allowing players to create whole tapestries of sound whenever the moment strikes. Use the AE-20 onstage to add electronic versatility to performances or use it in the studio as a MIDI controller for your production process. The AE-20 can operate on 6 AA batteries or on the included AC adapter.
