The CY-14C from Roland is a cymbal pad for an electronic drum kit. It’s compatible with any Roland TD or SPD series sound module. It features dual-triggers with independent sensors on the bow and the edge of the cymbal. This enables it to be played like a real cymbal when struck on its different surface areas.
Its 14″ diameter is intentionally sized to match the size of a real crash cymbal. When you strike the CY-14C, it’s designed to move and rebound physically as a real cymbal would. You can even choke the cymbal with your hand to mute its decay. Every detail, even down to the mounting hardware, is dedicated to recreating the acoustic drumming experience electronically.
