An automatic, two-stage power-down feature (APD) resulting in power consumption of less than 2.5 W. The amplifiers also include a remote standby/wake up function, enabling them to be placed into standby mode – and subsequently powered up again – by a simple external contact closure. The APD feature can be disabled by a rear panel DIP switch.

These new features are in addition to a microphone input with local level control, an RCA stereo input with level control and separate source selection / level control for the installed system (Z4 / Z8 MK3).
The first RJ45 (Cat-5) socket allows an LM-2 Active Wall Plate to be connected per zone to the Z4 / Z8 MK3 mixer via SCREENED CAT5e cabling. The Cloud PM1 is a passive paging microphone for simple, single zone applications. It is ideal for use with any Cloud zoner and mixer-amplifier where single zone paging is required, but may also be used with any 3rd party zoners etc. Its heavy-duty moulded base and 300mm gooseneck mic give it a modern, attractive appearance, yet it is extremely robust for everyday use (ideal for use behind bars in restaurants and other licensed premises). The PM Range of Paging Microphones are designed for general purpose multizone applications and can also be used with non-Cloud products. Four models of the PM are available: the PM4, PM8, PM12 and PM16. The models differ only in the number of zone select buttons on the front panel (4, 8, 12 or 16 respectively), and consequently in the maximum of zones that can be supported. The PM is designed to interface directly with recent Cloud products - such as the DCM1 - via the Cloud Digital Paging Interface, which uses standard CAT-5 cable and RJ45 connectors. The PM is also compatible with the older Cloud CDPM range of digital paging microphones. PM microphones and CDPM microphones may be freely intermixed on the Digital Paging Interface.
